Job details: A Professional with some experience in governance at a Non-Profit/Charity as well as experience in Healthcare and/or Education would be an asset but not required.

EMISSARIO Uniting Communities is a start-up non-profit/Not for Profit organization, striving to provide access to better healthcare and education to the underprivileged.

We are seeking a professional and committed candidate to join our Board of Directors.

Qualifications for the Board of Directors ideally include:

• Your academic qualifications and work experience. • Skills, knowledge, understanding, experience or expertise in Healthcare and/or Education. • Skills and expertise in event ideation, coordination, planning and management to carry out projects, programs, activities and events. • Skills, knowledge, understanding, experience or expertise in Fundraising for our projects, programs, activities and events. • Knowledge, understanding and experience or expertise in healthcare and education locally within Canada e.g. Ontario and/or abroad (not mandatory). • Knowledge, understanding and experience or expertise in issues that Canada and the world are facing, especially issues that we can help address (not mandatory). • Knowledge, understanding and experience of public relations, conventional media and social media, as well as marketing and branding (not mandatory). • Knowledge, understanding and experience of management and governance of a Non-Profit/Not for Profit organization or a For Profit organization (not mandatory).

Requirements of the Board of Directors may include but are not limited to:

• To actively participate in the organization as a member of the Board of Directors. • A commitment to the work of EMISSARIO Uniting Communities through sound Board governance and hands-on operations. • Preparation, attendance and active participation in regular board and committee meetings. • Perform any other tasks or responsibilities as required or assigned by the board.

Pay: No Salary as per laws applicable on Non-Profit/Not for Profit organizations
